This FAQ is
intended as a major compilation of information that all RC Monster
Truck enthusiasts should find useful. However, like any other hobby,
there's so much to learn that it's pretty much impossible to get
it all into one website. What you will find here is a list of questions
and answers I have compiled by researching loads of posts on several
different websites about RC Monster Trucks. However, please note
the following:
1) I have tried my best to provide accurate answers to these questions,
but I cannot take any responsibility if they turn out inaccurate
in any way. While I try my best to share info that I have learnt
through experience, some of the answers here are compilations of
info I have read elsewhere, heard about in some chatroom or perhaps
came across in some discussion with other enthusiasts.
2) Some of these
questions - especially those which concern which chassis/part/setup
is best - are inevitably concerned with opinions. Unfortunately,
opinions are often subjective and will differ from individual to
individual. With regards to these questions, the answers you will
find here are what I think are reflective of the consensus of most
RCMTruckers. If you find any info here that you find absolutely
misled (i.e. my answers are not reflective of the general consensus),
you may e-mail me and share your opinions with me - but please do
not get upset simply because your opinion on a particular topic
differs from mine and others.
3) It was not
easy to organize all the information into neat categories since
sometimes their subject-matter overlapped. If you can't find the
info you need in one category, you may find it in another related
one, so it may be a good idea to to browse through the different
categories [additional info on using the FAQ].
If there is some question not covered in these pages that you need
an answer to, you can e-mail me
and I will try my best to help you or (if I can't) point you in
the direction of someone who probably can. Alternatively, you can
post your question on my bulletin
board and let the experts there have a look.
You can also e-mail me if you have info you think others would find
useful - although I cannot guarantee that all the submitted info
will find their way to the site.
One last thing,
it's time consuming to compile and maintain a page like this one,
so I'd like to know if you've found this FAQ helpful. It will give
me feedback as to how much time I want to spend compiling more info
to add here. Therefore, if you have enjoyed this info-page and found
it's contents helpful, I would appreciate it if you would drop me
a little note via e-mail just
to let me know. Thanks in advance!
