Project
Brief
This project
is named after the starship in the Sci-Fi TV series - Star Trek:
Deep Space 9. The Defiant was a small ship that was armed to the
teeth. Just like it's namesake, this Jugg2 is small - with it's
stock narrow width and short wheelbase, it takes a different route
from most mod Juggs. This project truck has turned out to be a potent
little MT (is that an oxymoron?) that has more power than it's universals
can take!
The original
basis of the truck is a tube chassis made by ERIC BEACH. Apparently
this truck was one of his first prototype Juggs and has seen at
least 4 previous owners. I rebuilt the truck and re-worked the suspension
and it worked nicely, but the time came for a new change and I'm
currently in the process of building a custom chassis for this truck
myself - bred purely for racing - follow the progress in Phase
2!
